Practicing Yoga feeds my heart!
It quiets my mind, and awakens my spirit.
Teaching Yoga = my service, my sweetness, my sukha.
Yoga has enriched my life in more ways than I can count &
I’m inspired to share this love of Yoga with my students.
My personal yoga practice of 20+ years has led me in many directions with truly amazing teachers. I am deeply GRATEFUL to each and every teacher I’d had the honor of learning from and practicing with. I still remember my first yoga class...in Eugene, OR.
My teaching style is rooted in Hatha Yoga, drawing on my studies in Vedic
Science & Somatic practices
My Story: In 2003, after 10 years exploring Yoga as mostly an asana (the poses and what most of us think of when we say ‘yoga’) practice, my curiosity and desire to go deeper, to consciously quiet my chatty (an understatement) mind, balance my emotions and manage my stress levels, led me to explore various meditation techniques.
After exploring various types of meditation, without much satisfaction or ease, I found a technique that I clicked with - it was lovely and still is. A tidal wave of gratitude to my teachers and to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for this great Yogic Knowledge. My regular Transcendental Meditation practice has been a lifeline to balance, health and creativity.
In 2005 I stepped deeper down the rabbit hole of life and Self receiving a Master’s of Arts degree in Vedic Science from Maharishi International University, in Fairfield Iowa. There my relationship with Yoga in the broadest sense was powerfully deepened. Personally it was a bright highlight in an already beautifully rich life.
In 2011 my desire to teach and share Yoga surfaced. A door opened and I began Yoga teacher training with Tanya Boigenzahn at Devanadi Yoga in Minneapolis MN.
Off the mat and in the world I practice Yoga as I share my passion for storytelling (www.tracychipman.net) and continue to learn and grow in my relationship with myself, my beloveds and the more than human world all around me.
Thank you for visiting this site and look forward to sharing a Yoga practice together. I wish you joy, silence and grace on your beautiful journey!
Namaste,
Tracy
